I’m excited to use your automatic Ugrade. I belive I have followed directions and have downloaded your program, unzip the file and loaded the file on my host server wp-content/plugins/director. I have also activated your plug in on Wordpress - but when I go to Manage I do not fine “Automatic Upgrade” but rather “uploads” and under uploads I don’t find a link to your plugin??

Using FTP to compare files I find on my computer “wordpress-automatic-upgrade” file is made up on 9 files and two directories with a total bytes o 116,165 compared to what I have on my host i.e. 9 files and two directories with a total bytes of 112,955. I’ve tried twice to down load onto Host and get only 112,955 bytes of information.

I downloaded and installed Wordpress Automatic Upgrade version 1.1 on my wordpress v2.0.3 installation. When I tried to activate the plugin, I received the following error on a new webpage.

You have an error in your SQL syntax near '; ' at line 10 on line: 1151

Going back to the plugins page shows the plugin is active, but I am hesitant to start the upgrade process with an outstanding error.

Any ideas?

If the plug-in doesn't work:

- Back up your MySQL
- White down the Username and the password.

Delete out all the wordpress files with FTP or with the file manager in c panel.
Load in Wordpress 2,5,1 using an upload function inside the file manager
Or using your choice of FTP method.
Then go to the url in your browser.
If you left the config file in place the blog will start.
If you have no wp-config file ready, it will ask you for the database information.

I am having the same issue...my host (TextDrive/Joyent, http://textdrive.com) only allows SFTP access to their accounts. I've even tried using a :22 in the host box (e.g. simplicio.com:22) to no avail. I see from other posts that you are using port 21, which is standard FTP.

Please give us an option to connect via SFTP to make the changes to our file permissions; it is in the interests of security as well. Alternatively/in addition, when the FTP process fails, give the user specific information as to what the file permissions need to be changed to, and for what folders/files. I am happy to do it myself, but give me documentation on what you need changed, and to what. For instance, tell me that you need all the files and folders from the root of my WordPress install chmod'ed to 666 or 777, etc.

Thanks in advance!

I ran WordPress Automatic Upgrade seamlessly until the very end when the plugin resolved to this page which was blank:

http://www.creditcardassist.com/blog/wp-admin/edit.php?page=wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wordpress-automatic-upgrade.php&task=re-plugin&_wpnonce=d626a32ab1

I waited a minute thinking it was loading and it was still blank.

Now, all the blog pages are blank ... every one of them.

I would be grateful for any direction or assistance as we're now totally dark.

Hi! Great plugin! Is it possible to BCM to send an e-mail containing the answer I wrote?

Or at least integrating its funcionality with Comment Email Responder's <http://www.u-g-h.com/index.php/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-plugin-comment-email-responder/>...

I go this when I tried to add the first external blog.

What the heck does it mean & what's the SOLUTION?

Warning: array_keys() [function.array-keys]: The first argument should be an array in /home/clickthr/public_html/click3media/wp-content/plugins/manage-multiple-blogs/manage-multiple-blogs-admin.php on line 240

Oopsy Dooopsy!!!! Some how we figured out you do not have write permissoins to the blog you are trying to add.
You cannot do anything on the external blog so we do not see any point in adding the external blog to this blog as our limitations (Pssst: WordPress limitations led us to this) permit us from doing so. You can check with the site owner for the permissions to be able to write to their blog before we can add it here

Hi, I have eight or nine WP blogs running many different versions of WP. All have this plugin installed, and it works on none of them. It always fails at the same point, the attempt to put the site in maintenance mode, whether in manual or automatic mode and whether using v0.6 or v0.8.

This is the latest error message:
Warning: copy(/usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/andthenhesaid.com/httpdocs/journal/index.php) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/andthenhesaid.com/httpdocs/journal/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wpau_upgrade.class.php on line 323

My web hosts are convinced it's not a problem at their end - I often have to talk to them about getting scripts whitelisted, but on this occasion they are sure it's not a problem at their end. It still fails with "SecFilterEngine Off" added to the htaccess file.

Any advice gratefully received.

I used your great plugin before and upgraded succesfully, but this time I'm getting a message about a failure; it is not possible to put the site in the maintenance mode, it says. I'm getting this message with the manual as well as with the automatic option. Thanks for your help, Bart
