I am trying to upgrade my WP 2.5 to 2.6.1. As a first step, I download my files as a zip folder, but I can't open it. Windows throws a box at me saying the files cannot be opened in order to protect my computer.
How do I open and verify the files before proceeding with the upgrade? If anything goes wrong, how would I restore the files? Thanks.

A feature that would be really nice is if the plugin could be used to make backups of the site and the database. Like it does now but exit after step 2 so to speak.
