Firstly, thank you for updating this to work with the new Google Feedburner setup! I find the plugin very helpful - when I ran it before switching to the Google side it seems that about 1/2 of my unconfirmed email subscribers subsequently confirmed their subscriptions <img src="http://forum.techie-buzz.com/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

Unfortunately there are still some glitches .... I've tried what I think is all the 1.* versions that were released over the past few days and unfortunately I'm still getting this when I input my Google name and password:

"We fetched 1 feeds from your account. We could not find any subscribers who have not confirmed their subscriptions."

(BTW, there should be a space after "account" :)).

It's the same error I've got with all the 1.* versions. There are 5 feeds connected to my account when I log in via feedburner.google.com and at least two of the feeds have unconfirmed members when I last checked.

If there's some way I could help - run a debug version or something - just let me know. Happy to do whatever I can to help. Thanks for all your time and effort on the plugin <img src="http://forum.techie-buzz.com/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" />

Cheers,

I'm attempting to upgrade a Wordpress 1.5.2 installation, and some errors have cropped up. The WP installation is in /home/siteroot/public_html/geekman/. On the initial plugin page, the following error appears:

Hi,

First, thanks for writing this plugin.

I am trying to run it and am failing during the maint. mode phase:

Warning: copy(/home/yurchuk/public_html/philip/index.php.wpau.bak) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/yurchuk/public_html/philip/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wpau_upgrade.class.php on line 359

This is because WPAU thinks it does NOT need to use FTP, but it does. Not your fault, just the way my hosting company works (not even the 777 trick will work). WP's automatic upgrade for plugins works great because it uses FTP every time.

I'm hoping there's an easy way to force WPAU to use FTP, like maybe modifying a function to return false? I'd like to hear from the creator before I go destroying my site with ignorant mods.

Thanks again!

Hi there,

I am using plesk 8.0.0 should that be of any importance.
All the different steps seems to go like they should but I don't think it is actually upgrading as in overwriting the files. The site remains in Maintenance mode now and I don't seem to be able to fix that.

The logs report the following error:
Task Name: upgrade
Task Description: Upgrades all the installation files
Task Status: Complete
Task Start Date: 2008-09-12 09:56:47
Task End Date: 2008-09-12 09:56:47
Task Log: ERROR -> Could not read either the source directory /var/www/vhosts/familiebronnen.nl/httpdocs/wpau-backup/wordpress/wp-admin or the traget directory /var/www/vhosts/familiebronnen.nl/httpdocs/wp-admin
ERROR -> Could not read either the source directory /var/www/vhosts/familiebronnen.nl/httpdocs/wpau-backup/wordpress/wp-includes or the traget directory /var/www/vhosts/familiebronnen.nl/httpdocs/wp-includes

I have to enter my ftp data for my server does not seem to let the plugin write on the server itself.. I have checked and the files indeed have not been updated, so something is going wrong.

Does anyone have a clue what's going wrong here and how I can fix this?

Thanks,
DeFries

I have auto upgraded many times, but this is the first time since upgrading WPAU to 1.2.1. Now I can't get the download of the latest WP to happen, I just receive an error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 500001 bytes) in /home/wsffa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/lib/snoopy.class.php on line 900

Looks like a PHP memory error, but I don't know enough to fix it. Any thoughts?

UPDATE: I rolled back to WPAU 1.2.0.2 but got the same error message.

I attempted to use WPAU for an upgrade to v 2.6 and had a real problem, unlike previous usage which has gone really well. There seemed to be problems with permissions but eventually all seemed to be going well until the last step. Upgrade.php gave a blank screen and it was then impossible to access any WordPress admin pages and the website itself also gave a blank page.

Looking at the log file of changes recorded in the mySQL database, I noted the following:

-----------------------
Succesfully Created files backup archive at /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html//wpau-backup/wpau-files-bak.zip
------------------------
Note the double // after html. This resulted in multiple errors later in the log as shown by:

-----------------------------------
Copying over files from /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html//wpau-backup/wordpress/wp-includes to /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html/wp-includes
Overwriting file class.wp-styles.php to /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html/wp-includes
ERROR -> Could not copy /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html//wpau-backup/wordpress/wp-includes/streams.phpto /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html/wp-includes/
ERROR -> Could not copy /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html//wpau-backup/wordpress/wp-includes/cron.phpto /home/virtual/site143/fst/var/www/html/wp-includes/
-----------------------------
I'm assuming the // is what causes the error.

I've now reverted to v 2.5.1, which is where I started from. Is this directory structure the problem? Should I go round the loop again with WPAU or just do a manual upgrade?
Thanks for your help.
Barry

I discovered that the clean-up process had never completed from my last upgrade. When I try to cleanup, I get a long list of errors, similar to the below:

I've done a bunch of searches and can't figure out where I've gone wrong. Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

You cannot do anything on the external blog so we do not see any point in adding the external blog to this blog as our limitations (Pssst: WordPress limitations led us to this) permit us from doing so. You can check with the site owner for the permissions to be able to write to their blog before we can add it here
