Unable to start upgrade (unable to start clean up process)

Here's the "Task Status" error that I get when I run the plugin:

Seems you have not completed the clean up process from last upgrade. Please click here to run the clean up process before continuing

When I click the link the function simply brings me back to the same page with the same error message.

I am running wordpress 2.0.4, and I don't think I've ever upgraded my original install.

Thanks for any help.

Have you never used WPAU before this, if yes please delete the wpau-backup folder and wpau-log.txt before running this
